The Music Plays On — Fleisher Plays Beethoven Piano Concertos

In 1959, one year after Fleisher’s celebrated recording with the Cleveland Orchestra and George Szell of the Brahms Piano Concerto №1, the trio began their traversal of the five Beethoven piano concertos. When the set was finished and released in 1961 it was heralded then, and remains for many as the greatest set ever recorded.
